FOR GOD AND COUNTRY

After the “war to end all wars”, fifteen WWI veterans founded the Orchard Park American Legion Post 567 in 1919. Since then, our legionnaires worked diligently to make our town a wonderful place to raise our families, promote Americanism to our children and help their fellow veterans, young and old. For 100 years, the men and women of Post 567 still hold on to that tradition. Even though their military careers were over with their Honorable Discharge, they still are serving this great nation as legionnaires.

At first they met in the town hall and fire department. With hard work the building we have now was purchased in 1947. In 1975 our Legion Hall was erected to serve as our meeting place, for community events and be used as a necessary fund raiser. This 100 year celebration is a tribute to every Legionnaire who contributed to the success of Post 567. From 1919 to 2019 we have served our community and now we embark on the next 100 years. We will continue to serve this great nation as Legionnaires of Post 567.
